Nothing says Happy______ Day like a homemade card. Since, Mother’s Day is this week I thought this post would be only appropriate. I think every Mother in the world appreciates a handmade card, no matter what age you are. The fun part about a card made from home is rummaging through your recycle bin, craft boxes, and art supplies.
I used leftover wedding invitations (we printed a few too many) and simply covered the printed side with fabric scraps or wrapping paper. I then brought out my paints, fabric box, art pens, brushes, and had fun. I made 7 different types of card in under 30 minutes. Yes, I sometimes reference the time things take to encourage people that all can be done. On another side note: most of my projects happen while I am editing photos, cleaning house, making dinner, or designing a project.

I hope you enjoy creating a piece of art for your special someone. Next week, I will share with you recycled gift-wrapping ideas.
Let your little ones make their own cards. Gather supplies, put on some music and let them go crazy. Watch their creativity emerge!

Love these cards! Especially the banner one.
Thank you Kaylee!! I appreciate the comment. Have a great day!
