Dark chocolate, sugar cones, sprinkles, nuts and then the ice cream. You know you want one and you know you deserve it too.
Here at The Sunday Sparkle we are all about do-it-yourself (or giving it your bestest with a smile), now when it comes to making your dessert, it is better to think of it as an adventure than just another project. Whether you’re a classic cone (chocolate and nuts) or a wild card (chocolate and smashed kettle chips) it all begins with silky, melted chocolate and ends with letting your stomach guide the way in your kitchen.
Simply melt dark or milk chocolate (at a slow even temperature) then pour melted chocolate in a bowl and begin dipping cones into the chocolate then into the toppings, place on parchment paper and freeze until the chocolate is solid.
Getting messy in the kitchen never hurt anyone.
A lovely way to display your cones is to fill a bowl with candy (I only filled it up half-way the rest is cotton balls) and place the cones in between the candy.
Cones will last for a month, if left in the freezer in a container or ziploc bag.
